HARRISBURG — The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board has unanimously renewed the Category 4 casino licence for the operator of Live! Casino Pittsburgh for another five years.

The board determined that Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC had fulfilled the obligations under its previously approved casino operator’s licence and qualified for renewal.

The decision was based on a process utilized by the board that enables both the operator and the public to provide information relevant to the renewal decision.

A public input hearing was held in June 2025 where personnel of Live! Casino Pittsburgh submitted exhibits and presented testimony on various aspects of the facility’s operation since its last license renewal was granted.

The public was also permitted to provide testimony about the casino and its impact on the community.

In reaching its decision, the board also received information from local government officials, community groups and the PA State Police, along with the Gaming Control Board’s Office of Enforcement Counsel, Bureau of Investigations and Enforcement, Office of Compulsive and Problem Gambling, and Bureau of Casino Compliance.

Additionally, a public hearing was held today in Harrisburg to permit board members to further question representatives of Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC about any remaining issues prior to voting on the renewal.

Since its opening in November 2020, Live! Casino Pittsburgh has generated $647 million in gross revenue from the play of retail slot machines and table games, and sports wagering, and has returned to the Commonwealth a total of $314.7 million in tax revenue.

Live! Casino Pittsburgh offers gaming play on 748 slot machines and 40 total table games, along with a sportsbook at its retail location while employing 569 persons.

The board said the operator met the requirements of its existing casino licence, making it eligible for another five-year term.

A further public hearing was held in Harrisburg on October 14, 2026, allowing board members to question representatives of Stadium Casino Westmoreland RE, LLC before voting on the renewal.

Further information about the casino is available in a presentation posted on the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board’s website under the Board Meetings section for October 14.
