Booming Games appoints Darja Roos as chief financial officer
The Malta-based software provider adds a former Yolo Group CFO to its leadership team.
Malta-based software provider Booming Games has appointed Darja Roos as its new chief financial officer. Roos brings more than 20 years of experience in iGaming, fintech and international business to the role. She most recently served as CFO of Yolo Group, following a senior finance position at GAN/Coolbet. Her appointment is part of the company's strategy to strengthen its senior leadership team.
In her new position, Roos will lead Booming Games' financial operations, overseeing accounting, reporting, auditing and compliance. She will work closely with Eric Saliba and the company's Malta-based finance team, collaborating with senior management to support financial decision-making and the company's expansion plans. Her experience includes senior financial management and board-level responsibilities with a focus on governance and regulatory compliance. Darja Roos said she is "delighted to be joining Booming Games as CFO." She added that her two decades of experience across iGaming, fintech and international business will enable her to bring a unique perspective. Roos said it is an exciting chance to build a stronger, more efficient financial function with a strong team and ambitious plans.
Ramona Petrina, chief of staff at Booming Games, said Roos brings exactly the blend of iGaming, governance and international finance experience the company needs at this stage of its growth. "Alongside Eric and the Finance team, she’ll play a key role in building on our existing foundations and supporting our continued growth," Petrina said. "We’re delighted to welcome her to the leadership team." Roos's appointment follows the recent arrival of Ally McIvor as chief of sales at Booming Games. The company said these moves reflect its strategy of bringing experienced people into key roles to build a stronger, more sustainable organization. The software provider, known for its slots and back-office solutions, is continuing to expand its executive leadership structure. Roos will be responsible for the company's financial function while partnering with other senior leaders.
