Bridgemarq Real Estate Services posts quarterly profit
The Toronto-based franchisor of Royal LePage and other brands reported a profit of $2.1 million.
TORONTO · Bridgemarq Real Estate Services Inc. reported a fourth-quarter profit of $2.1 million, up from a loss a year earlier. The Toronto-based company said the profit amounted to 12 cents per diluted share for the quarter ended Dec. 31. That compared with a loss of $1.6 million or nine cents per diluted share in the same quarter last year. Revenue for the quarter totalled $13.7 million, up from $13.1 million a year ago.
The company, which franchises Royal LePage, Via Capitale and other real estate brands, said its revenue growth was driven by its franchise operations segment. That segment saw revenue rise to $11.3 million compared with $10.7 million a year earlier. The company's brokerage operations segment reported revenue of $2.4 million, down from $2.5 million in the fourth quarter of 2025. For the full year, Bridgemarq reported a profit of $5.3 million or 30 cents per diluted share on $53.9 million in revenue. That compared with a profit of $2.4 million or 13 cents per diluted share on $50.8 million in revenue in 2025. The company said it ended the year with 226 franchise offices. The full-year results included a $1.2 million gain on the sale of an investment.
Bridgemarq Real Estate Services provides residential real estate brokerage services in Canada. It operates through Brokerage Operations and Franchise Operations segments. The company supplies realtors with information, tools and services to assist its customers in the delivery of real estate services. It also operates full-service real estate brokerages and provides franchise services to brokerages. It offers its services under the Royal LePage, Proprio Direct, Via Capitale, Johnston & Daniel, and Les Immeubles Mont-Tremblant brand names.
