NEW YORK · EDGE Markets expects to process more than $2 billion in transactions during the 2026 NFL season, nearly double the $1.2 billion it handled during the 2025 NFL season. The financial technology company, which serves prediction market traders and sports bettors, has already processed over $800 million in the first 44 days of the current season. That volume is nearly four times the amount recorded in the same period a year ago. The company attributes the growth to the popularity of football and the expansion of prediction markets. "Football has become a 24/7 market, and the money behind it has been stuck on banking hours," said Seni Thomas, CEO and Founder of EDGE Markets. "Fans want a fast, dedicated way to fund their sports entertainment, and we keep building and improving our products around the idea that money should move as fast as the game does." The milestone follows the launch of EDGE Connect, which enables real-time fund transfers from EDGE Boost to partner prediction markets.

The company's core product is EDGE Boost, a special-purpose Visa debit account that keeps trading funds separate from a user's everyday finances. Through EDGE Connect, users can transfer funds from their EDGE Boost balance to partner prediction markets in real time, including outside traditional banking hours. The partner markets are Kalshi, Polymarket, ProphetX, and Splash Sports. The company said clients "can move money from their EDGE Boost balance to a partner market in real time even as traditional transfers sit idle."

The system supports transfers of up to $5 million per transaction and $50 million per day to Kalshi, Polymarket, or ProphetX. EDGE Markets charges no fees for these transfers to partner markets, and EDGE Boost cardholders earn up to 0.5% cash back on qualifying spend categories. The account is funded using a user's own money through automated clearing house transfers from linked checking or savings accounts, wire transfers, or cryptocurrency converted into U.S. dollars through Zero Hash. It does not accept credit card funding.

The company said the $2 billion forecast appears credible and could even prove conservative, as the NFL playoffs and holiday schedule are still ahead. Those periods typically drive significant increases in wagering activity. With Week Seven of the NFL season underway, the company said the season's highest-volume weeks are yet to come. EDGE Boost is available through its website and on iOS and Google Play.
